Yesterday, I tried to visit goodkeywords.com, but there was an error I can’t access that page. I tried my times so I asked my friends and they can entered the website!. Then I figure out that may be I have been blocked by my ISP or firewall because when I tried to surf through proxy site, I can enter the site!. Let see how to visit a website that has blocked through a proxy site.

What is proxy?
Proxy allows user to surf websites indirectly. That’s mean the proxy will be the medium between user and the destination website. For example, user1 use proxy to surf website A. The proxy will connect to website A and get content of that site to user1 or may be from cache in the proxy server itself so that it can reduce bandwidth consumption and speed acceleration.

Example
In my problem, if the website A was blocked in my country. I simply use proxy server that reside in other countries to get content of the website.

  1. I can’t access goodkeywords.com.
    connection-timed-out
  2. Goes to proxy site, I use proxy.org. There are many proxy such as proxyblind.org, ninjaproxy.com or you can find other proxy site by search “Proxy” in search engine.
    proxy.org
  3. Enter destination website you want to surf through proxy and select server location. In this example, I let it goes on random.
    enter-url-and-select-proxy
  4. That’s it. Now I can view the blocked website!. Very easy!.

Update: some tips

To search for new proxy site, simple goes to any search engine (google.com, yahoo.com, etc.) and type ‘proxy’. There, you’ll find proxy websites.

Currently (18 Jan 2008), there is a good one at first search result page which is “www.unblockworld.com”.
