   Fault tolerance refers to the capability of a computer or network to continue to function when some component fails. Disk fault tolerance refers to methods of storing data on the disk in such as way as to create redundancy of the data, so that it can be retrieved or recreated if a disk fails. Fault tolerance is not a substitute for backing up your data, but should be used in conjunction with a regular backup schedule that includes offsite storage. Generally, a fault tolerance solution will enable you to get up and running again more quickly than if you have to restore from backup, but backups are another line of defense in case the entire computer fails or is destroyed by fire, flood, etc.

I’ve just noticed today while I’m surfing the internet that Microsoft finally released SP2 for Windows Server 2003. It can be installed on all 2003 editions (Standard, Datacenter, Enterprise, Web and R2) and most architectures (x86, x64 and ia64) and also the SP2 can update with XP x64 edition,too.
This SP2 updates many things (security updates, hot fixes, improve performances, etc.) and easy to install so I encourage you to update as soon as possible.

Mountain View (CA) - Google hopes to stop the practice of “Google Bombing”, the skewing of Google search results to point to a website, by implementing a new search algorithm. According to a blog entry written by Matt Cutts, Google’s official webmaster, the company has “improved our analysis of the link structure of the web” and adds that Google bombing effects should now be minimized.
