Hi,
I am using Win 2003 server and ISA server 2006. Accesing to internal website was configured bypass proxy server.
The problem is some external website cannot be accessed. This is due to domain for the external website is same with internal website. Other external website i.e. google.com can be accessed. How and where need to do the configuration on ISA server?

“Cannot initialize communication profile TCP/IP.
Cannot open a TCP/IP socket. Address already in use. The combination of IP address and receive port is in use by another program. Please edit the communication profile, click advanced and changeeither.”

– May I know what causes the above error message? & how to fix? Thank you.

Same solution as comment 65. It could be that the Web proxy listener is set to “require all users to authenticate”. But, your application are unable to provide credentials, probably because it is not configured as web proxy client. This option is located at Configuration -> Networks -> Networks tab -> double-click on Internal -> Web Proxy tab -> click on Authentication button.

I had install one client application in my network. I want to push the communication with my client with server which are outside the network through isa. i m getting the error in application log file that ” 12209 The ISA Server requires authorization to fulfill the request. Access to the Web Proxy filter is denied.” pls do the needful asap.

Hi, Santosh Below is captured from Troubleshooting Client Authentication on Access Rules in ISA Server 2004 -> Common issues in client authentication -> Allow Anonymous Access to Specific Sites. Hope this help, Allow Anonymous Access to Specific Sites Problem: Some users cannot access the Internet. Cause: Require all users to authenticate is enabled on the network listening for Web requests from users, so all user requests must be authenticated. Requests from users unable to authenticate (for example users who are not members of a domain, or client computers configured as SecureNAT clients) are denied. Solution: Disable Require all users to authenticate. Instead, require authentication on access rules to sites to which you want to limit access. On sites for which you want to allow anonymous access, specify that rules should apply to All Users.

You can create an access rule which allow only some websites that you want. If a user try to access website which is not in the rule, the default rule will block it.

You can set IP Address of the gateway point to your ISA Server on DHCP server.
